We discovered today while testing that if a collection in Blender is hidden, the glTF will still contain the items in that collection. This is a problem because artists often use hidden objects to store things like guides, reference objects, unfinished work, etc.

For example, in the screenshot below, the eye icon on the right indicates that Sphere.001 is hidden. The exported glTF still contains that sphere.

This is probably something we will have to get fixed upstream in: https://github.com/KhronosGroup/glTF-Blender-IO/

There is no hidden field in glTF. The only way for this to be fixed is for the Blender exporter to get updated to either remove these items from the glTF or otherwise indicate their presence.

The workaround for the timebeing is to just delete those objects before exporting, then undoing that afterwards.
