We need to study the upgrade guide:

Automatic PR #404 has failed due to:

 ERROR  Failed to compile with 1 error          9:11:30 AM

 error  in ../node_modules/web3/dist/web3.min.js

Module parse failed: Unexpected token (2:30340)

I've already added the new version to my branch in #452 but have not yet gone through any of the upgrade steps.
