Error displaying widget: model not found

Hello.

I get this error when trying to use ipysheet. Simple widgets work but ipysheet doesn't.

I have installed jupyterlab-manager and the ipysheet extensions.

Output of jupyter labextension list is:

Python is 3.9.5

JupyterLab v3.0.16
/usr/local/Cellar/jupyterlab/3.0.16/libexec/share/jupyter/labextensions
        @jupyter-widgets/jupyterlab-manager v3.0.0 enabled OK (python, jupyterlab_widgets)

Other labextensions (built into JupyterLab)
   app dir: /usr/local/Cellar/jupyterlab/3.0.16/libexec/share/jupyter/lab
        ipysheet v0.4.4 enabled OK

I've checked both related closed issues but can't seem to find anything else in them that helps in my case.

Any ideas?

Same issue here with Python 3.8. Since many parts of the repository are a bit older, I guess that no full JupyterLab 3 support is given yet? I also only receive a Error displaying widget: model not found and there are no further error logs in the commandline which could help here. For replication, here is my environment:

I have this issue. ipysheet works in vs code, but doesn't work in JupyterLab. Insatallation of jupyter labextension install @jupyter-widgets/jupyterlab-manager didn't help

Hi @stefaneidelloth , had the same issue earlier today but all I needed to solve it was to run:
conda update -c conda-forge && jupyter labextension install @jupyter-widgets/jupyterlab-manager

(not sure the second part is actually needed judging from the commit)

fixed the issue for me in JupyterLab 3.2.5 (I installed ipysheet with pip instead of conda.)
