I was able to boot into the installer and successfully installing by blacklisting the xen_acpi_processor module as a kernel option.

@bearyjd Thank you:)

Had the same issue on Thinkpad T14 Gen 1:

  • Intel i7-10610U
  • Nvidea Force MX330
  • Intel Wifi 6 AX201

modprobe.blacklist=xen_acpi_processor rd.driver.blacklist=xen_acpi_processor got me to the installer.

I have the same problem with the following system:

Thinkpad T15 Gen 1:

Intel i7-10510U
Intel UHD 620
Nvidea Force MX330
Intel Wifi 6 AX201

While trying a fresh install of Qubes 4.2.0, the installer gets stuck at qubes freeze “xen_acpi_processor: Uploading Xen processor PM info”

modprobe.blacklist=xen_acpi_processor rd.driver.blacklist=xen_acpi_processor did not work for me.

An installation with Qubes 4.1.2 works without problems.

@bearyjd Thank you:)

Had the same issue on Thinkpad T14 Gen 1:

  • Intel Wifi 6 AX201

modprobe.blacklist=xen_acpi_processor rd.driver.blacklist=xen_acpi_processor got me to the installer.

That fixed it for me on a T14 with the same specs, except for the MX330
