How to file a helpful issue

Qubes OS release

4.2.1

Steps to reproduce

  • Create new StandaloneVM (my test was on debian)
  • Go to the StandaloneVM qube/appvm settings
  • Increase private storage to 200GB, system storage to 100GB
  • Run the appvm
  • There you go (freezed appvm, cant run any application)

Logs

This is from 2 different StandaloneVMs:

Qubeshangsstandalone1.txt

Qubeshangsstandalone2.txt

Screenshot:

qubeshangs

Workaround

Try to kill it and run it again, it will work with you (as i have shown in my Qubeshangsstandalone2.txt file)

Resizing large filesystem takes time, you can increase qrexec_timeout temporarily. Anyway, it's a still a bug, as such manual step shouldn't be necessary.
