Instrumentation Test - Build Failed #10
Comments
Hi, thanks for reporting issue. I understand you have java activities. One way to use this in Java is, convert extension calls to Java method calls and you should be good to go in Java way. I will look into it. The thing is this was always difficult and I just made it work at that point. Maintaining this plugin to work with Kotlin is a difficult. However, I am having a look at this. |
@ewoks Does your project supports Java 8? Is the activity is on Java 8 ? Can you please confirm? |
Yes project supports Java 8. It was supporting it before too and there were no issues. This appeared after I upgraded to newer Gradle and Android Studio 3.4 |
@kirtan403 any update on above issue. i got the same error like above mention. i have java activities. After upgrading i got this error previously it was working fine. My project supports java 8, i have upgraded studio to 3.5 got error like com.livinglifetechway.quickpermissions_plugin.QuickPermissionsTransform.transform(QuickPermissionsTransform.kt |
@ewoks have you got any solution ? |
Configuration for reproduction:
When running Android Instrumentation Tests build fails with following error related to the QuickPermissionsTransform.kt:75
Build failure log:
Anyone has idea where to start?
Seems that it has to do with
org.aspectj.apache.bcel.classfile.ClassFormatException
but...Most probably long term solution is to move to QuickPermission-Kotlin, but Activities where I am using library for now are in Java and probably there will be others who face this issue after upgrade to Android Studio 3.4
