Wrap notification #61
Comments
Hmm, I'm reluctant in adding any kind of notification like this, because for one, the "Reached end of page" is usually enough, and for two, the matches counter should provide this information already implicitly, as in if it jumps from "38 of 38 matches" to "1 of 38 matches", you should assume that was the case. However, I'm leaving this open because changing the color of the input box in this case could actually be useful as an eye-catcher. And even the "ding" sound could be a viable option as well. I'll see what I can do about this for a future release. |
@Quicksaver you make good points. However look at this from UI point of view. With current incarnation, to know you've reached then end you would need to check after each result. Current process
that is much looking up and down, ideal process
this way you only need to look at your results |
Yep, I agree with you, that's why I'm considering adding these (or similar) suggestions about this. ;) |
For anyone tired of waiting, you can use the Noise Add-on |
Coming from Find Toolbar Tweaks, one feature I find missing is Change color of input box when wrap.
This is a way to let you know that you have reached the end of the page and dont keep searching forever. I would actually prefer a "ding" sound when the end of page is reached, but any kind of notification would be helpful.
I posed this question over a year ago and had been using Find Toolbar Tweaks until it broke with Firefox 25.
