  • Plotts for ggplot2 and visualizations in R is easy enough to do
  • Tables specific area on the exam and the specific tools for some companies (are you familiar with these frameworks)
  • Recognizing specific R frameworks and being able to identify

FDA regulations are something to consider (e.g.: for Table 1, there is a specific format). Common knowledge for the submissions. There are a group of results that are required (summary of results, endpoints table, demographic table, AE summaries).

Phase 1:

  • Which package are suitable for building a table? Which function is used to create this table?

Phase 2:

  • We can have some candidates make an AE table (put data in a sas file).

@kieranjmartin can you give these questions a look over to see if we are on right track?

Hi @joseph-ProCogia sorry to be negative but there are some issues with these questions

  1. the vast majority of these aren't actually base R functions. forestplot, lineplot, survivalcurve, stackedareachart are all presumably part of some R packages?
  2. The table function isn't really used to create tables summarising adverse events. It can technically be used to do so but isn't very good when it comes to formatting, or even complex layouts
  3. I don't think it's correct to say data.frame is used to create tabular summaries of demographic data (why demographic data in particular?)
  4. For qn 19, while I think you can get KM plots from survival they're not very good, and its not clear why survminer is incorrect given that's the purpose of that package.
  5. For qn 14, plotly is just for interative plots, not really reports, and I think ggvis does the same thing

I think in principle this style of question could work, but I think we would need to be a little more specific.
