[Feature request] Avoiding next mail opening on delete #1870

Hi there,
Maybe is it already possible but I couldn't find the option to avoid the opening of the next mail when deleting one.

As far as I'm concerned, alternatively not marking the next message "read" automatically would help.

The only workaround is to set the "Layout" to "No Split".
