Archetypes are part of the metamodel, and are used extensively as meta-types. However, there's no single explanation of what they do and how they are used.
The metamodel is part of the implementation, but even so, it would be nice to have, since it's been extensively adopted as part of the documentation, with all the caveats necessary.
