I think this issue belongs here rather than in Ferrostar, but we can move it if we learn otherwise.

A diff along these lines seems to fix it... digging in to see whether this is a reasonable fix or not.

If seems like MapLibre Android might be adding these layers (TIL) at a time which is unexpected / problematic for our purposes.
