Those are just my intuitive suggestions. I’m currently compiling a list of sequences used by (once) popular messaging apps, will share soon. There are some (surprising) incompatibilities. |

Please don't change the smiley for :) and :-) to those red cheeked ones. I like the way it currently is very much! :) is supposed to be a very neutral smile without much fuzz. The other one could be used on something unorthodox like :)) I also propose to make the following changes / additions: add :3 for 😗 |

@lusa and @hachre Unlike Apple, Emojione has actually appropriate artwork for these (U+263A and U+1F642), also see vendor variants at Emojipedia or the family tree:

Currently, the ASCII emoticon mappings used by Emoji One only map to a very limited set of Unicode emojis. Also, some of the mappings seem strange to me. I’d like to propose some changes and, in a follow-up message also additions.
