Re Sonoff D1 Dimmer values. I thought the same but you need to select/tap brightness and wait i.e. not drag and wait. The hardware has automatic dimming between values and if you drag in goes a bit crazy doing constant updates. Also the brightness "v" is currently the raw % of waveform clipping and so I think is not really linear real-world brightness.

  • Zemismart M515EGB Roller Blind Motor

image

  • Note this is the battery powered model with a separate USB Wifi to RF transmitter dongle. This allows for good battery life compared to having wifi built onboard, so ideal for blinds that aren't close to a powerpoint.

  • cannot be flashed using tuya-convert, usb dongle has to be opened to be flashed via serial (runs a TYWE3S). It is difficult to open the USB dongle without marking the case (mine are marked so you can tell it's been opened but they can be hidden anyway), then use pliers to pull out the two pcb boards slowly bit by bit on each one as there is a ribbon cable joining the two.

  • you have to set the upper limit and lower limit on the motor as per manual instructions that come with the device.

  • also in my json, make sure you enter your set opening and close times (o & c) which you can do by running a timer and initiating a close and open from the motor module.

  • Any changes done manually via on the motor unit or remote is not updated in the home app (HAA does not support this function yet)

  • RF runs on 915Mhz so you cannot use a broadlink RMx to learn the RF commands. This means each motor requires it's own USB dongle. I have 8 blinds next to each other which means 8 dongles......

  • Sonoff Basic
  • Lock with a 2 sec unlock and a "do nothing" command on boot
  • {"c":{"0":{"r":[{"g":12}]},"l":13,"b":[{"g":0,"t":5}]},"a":[{"0":{"r":[{"g":12,"i":1},{"g":12,"v":1,"i":2}]},"t":4,"xa":0,"b":[{"g":0,"t":1}],"s":1,"i":4,"f0":[]}]}

Used to activate a buzz-lock at the pedestrian gate. When pressed it will power the lock (to unlock) for 2 secs. In HomeKit it shows as a lock.

Sorry to ask, but where do you 'select/tap' ? If you mean in the Apple Home app, I am all setup, connected to a dimmable LED strip, but they either come on or go off - no difference in brightness in between.

I'm wondering if my LED strip driver is not dimmable (as separate from LED strip).

Yes in the Apple Home app. FYI the D1 is leading-edge dimmer which is not great for some applications (such as LEDs). Shelly Dimmer2 is better as can run as either leading or trailing edge mode.

Ok thanks for letting me know.

I now have a dimmable LED strip with a dimmable driver (for sure), yet there is no dimming observed; just on and off.
Not sure if a leading edge D1 would cause this or not.
