Date sorting is broken in event archives

Reproduction

Find or create a number of events spanning multiple years.

First Problem

Events don't appear to be sorted in any obvious order. They should be sorted in reverse chronological order by default (most recent at top).

Second Problem

Clicking on the sorting icon by end date doesn't seem to actually work. It causes change, but not the desired change. For example the three top records are from 2018, 2017, and 2019 (in that order) after clicking the end date sorting icon.

Events should be sorted by end date, and then when you click it again they should be resorted by end date in the opposite order.
