reply template applied twice in thunderbird 91.2.0

I updated to thunderbird 91.2.0 yesterday, and the automatically generated greeting and signature appears twice when replying to a message. This is SmartTemplates version 3.7 (which I really love!).

For example:

Can this be a duplicate of #139 ? There is a trial version with a fix there.

Thanks! I tried installing the fix, and Thunderbird said that SmartTemplates could not be installed because it is not compatible with Thunderbird 91.2.0.

One thing I noticed is that the bug seems related to the fact that I am using Thunderbird Conversations. This may not make sense if you're not familiar with Conversations, but I can open an email in "classic view" (which appears to bypass Conversations), and SmartTemplates works as expected.

Thank you-- the very latest one (smartTemplate-fx-3.8pre169.zip) installs but still exhibits the issue. I can confirm that I only experience the issue with the Conversations plugin.

You can find there 2 prereleases:

smartTemplate-fx-3.8.1pre10.zip for Tb 78 and later
smartTemplate-fx-2.17pre102.zip for Tb68

This specifically addresses the Tb Conversations plugins and the way it handles it's own proprietary Reply button. If it's resolved by that I would like to close this issue and mark as duplicate of #139
