Contributing to Blax

First off, thank you for considering contributing to Blax! We appreciate any help, whether it's a simple bug report, feature request, or a code contribution. Here are some guidelines to help you get started.

Code of Conduct

Before contributing, please read our Code of Conduct to understand what kind of behavior is expected within this project's community.

How to Contribute

Reporting Bugs

  1. Check Existing Issues: Before you create a new issue, please do a search in open issues to see if the bug has already been reported.

    • If it has, add any additional information that you have, or give a 👍 reaction to indicate you're experiencing the same issue.
  2. New Issue: If the bug hasn't been reported, open a new issue and provide as much information as possible to help maintainers understand the problem.

Feature Requests

  1. Check Existing Issues: Before you create a new issue, please do a search in open issues to see if the feature has already been requested.

    • If it has, add any additional information that you have, or give a 👍 reaction to support it.
  2. New Issue: If the feature hasn't been requested, open a new issue, label it as a feature request, and provide a detailed explanation of what you'd like to see.

Code Contributions

Fork the Repository

  1. Fork the Blax repository to your GitHub account.
  2. Clone the forked repository to your local machine.
  3. Create a new branch for your feature or bugfix.

Develop

  1. Make your changes.
  2. Test your changes to ensure you have not introduced new bugs.
  3. Commit your changes to your branch.

Submit a Pull Request

  1. Push your changes back to your fork on GitHub.
  2. Go to the Blax repository on GitHub and click "New Pull Request".
  3. Write a descriptive title and comments to explain what your pull request does.
  4. Submit the pull request.
