After the 0.24.2 update I experienced some problems with RT. Shocked I was when I discovered I was running an old version, I quickly updated to 1.4.0. This, however, did not solve my biggest issue: appearantly my satellites now have the ability to send their signals to each other even when there's a planet in the way... in other words: I have a connection with MC, even when I'm on the other side of Kerbin.

The mods I'm currently using (all of them are the newest version I could find on the forum):
AIES Aerospace
B9 Aerospace
Glowstrips
HabitatPack
KW Rocketry
MechJeb2
NearFuture
RemoteTech2 (duh)
SpacePlane+
Universal Storage

He is being discovering Subspace Communications!
Is very genius science!

In all seriousness, that would actually make for an interesting optional feature (via cfg) to unlock with science. Subspace comms. No longer do such minor annoyances as planets and stars act as obstacles to our glorious space program and its comm signals.

@Fluitj do you have a way to reproduce this bug?

I found no way to reproduce -.-

It's a bit weird, Sometimes it works just right, but after a (short) while it starts messing up. Even when in low orbit (say 500 km), I have a continuous connection with MC.

I created a new test-environment:

New gamefolder: C:\Kerbal Space Program (unmodded)
No mods or other fancy stuff (besides RT2 and Module Manager 2.2.0)
Playing 32-bit version ( the 64-bit version is still too buggy and unstable )
Created a new sandbox-game
Launched a satellite

The ship:
rt2 bug 4
(For those who notice it: yes! I messed up my staging)

And the result:
rt2 bug 3

The error no longer occurs -.-

@Fluitj In your last post you don't use the RT v1.4.0. Look at your screens, the timewarp panel is broken and this was before we released v1.4.0

If some one got this error, please attach the ksp.log / output_log.txt and please hit F11 right after this error. This will create a rt_dump.txt in the root of your ksp copy, upload this file too

Stupid question: do you have the "Infinite EVA Fuel" cheat unlocked? RemoteTech has a hidden debug mode where if the EVA cheat is enabled, the game will let lines of sight go through planets.

ohhh :D i always have infinite Fuel, RSC and EVA on for debugging. That make sense that the error occurs sometimes and sometimes not ^^

I already had a suspicion that was the cause...

I found the cause of this bug (or hidden feature) a couple of days ago when my Kerbal was drifting feullessly in space... Everything works like a charm now...
