This is probably a hybrid RASuite/RAWeb issue.
A two for one!
1. Achievement folders
This concept is for visual grouping:
Instead of
We get
Where the + designates collapsible folders and - designates contents hidden after being collapsed.
Each one of the Penguin Craze I through VI would all be normal achievements.
Properties:
The grouping is to allow devs to more clearly show set structure and help visually simplify game pages. The folder is not an achievement, but would display a percentage of the achievements completed within it. The folder would be able to be expanded and contracted on the game page and inside the emulator. Only one level of folders would be allowed, no sub folders. A default folder icon would be used for visual consistency.
2. sub-achievements / super-achievements
The idea of has been discussed a whole lot, and goes under many names. The Basic concept is a single achievement made up of sub-achievements. A sub-achievement is created in the same way a standard achievement is, but would be flagged as a sub-achievement in the emulator Developer Tools. A sub-achievements is worth null points. Only after each sub-achievement is earned will the achievement be awarded. Each sub-achievement could be earned in a separate session, and only after each sub-achievement is awarded will the achievment be awarded.
An achievement with sub-achievements would be expandable using the same folder structure as Achievement Folders. The visual difference between the two could be that the Folder uses a default folder icon, while an achievement with sub-achievements would have a badge icon.
