I understand imports are better for avoiding namespace hell, but because of poor implementation in R https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2011-September/062088.html and use of depends in rmr own dependencies, whenever I try to switch to import there are too many problems. One workaround I think proposed by @hadley is to import at least one function from all imports, I don't have a reference right now. We should try that.
