Video not playing in Mac and Windows

I converted a webm file to mp4 and downloaded it on my windows as well as mac. The file is not being played. It generates a codec error.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Convert a webm file to mp4
2. Download the mp4
3. Play it in your system
4. The video will not be played

Expected behavior
The video to be played

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: Windows 10 and Mac 10.13.6
• Browser Chrome and Brave respectively

Does not work for me either :(

The mp4 container doesn't support VP9 files for simple lossless transcoding. We'll need to re-encode the video. How should a new codec be picked?
