API Endpoint - details in readme. #5
Comments
Hey! https://github.com/Rytiggy/Glance/blob/master/README.md#resources--qa Let me know if this works and if you have any other questions! |
Thanks. For NightScout I’ve used: http://mynightscout.hrrokuapp.com/api/v1/entries.json. This isn’t providing a feed to the watch? Any ideas? I’ll try it with xDrip tomorrow if this doesn’t work. |
Just to add to this, I’m not getting any updates to the Weather details either. Fitbit is linked to iPhone. |
To get the weather you need to go to https://openweathermap.org/appid and sign up, after you sign up you should be able to view your API key under your account page on open weather maps, then just add it to glances settings |
I’ve added that too. Been having a chat with @PaulNiven on Twitter. He mentioned something about the iPhone having a bug that meant data didn’t go through properly to the watch. I think that may be what I’ve been encountering. |
Gotcha, this is all very good information. I will investigate it. |
I just installed this Clock and pointed it at Nightscout: http://host.name.com/api/v1/entries.json I also generated and installed an OpenWeatherMap API key, rebooting both the phone and the tracker and clicking the Sync Now button in the app. After verifying on my phone that the Nightscout URL resolves and returns the JSON I expect it to display I still don't have a temperature or CGM feed on the watch. I see above that @tim2000s is using an iPhone, I'm using a Windows Phone. Are there any pointers you can throw my way or have you found anything in the past couple weeks that might have narrowed down the problem? |
I noticed you posted a new version and a new firmware update for the Versa came out so I updated both the firmware and the Clock - but no change. Is there any way I can access or provide debug output to troubleshoot this? |
@jaylagorio Hey! I haven't tested on a windows phone but if you wanted to set up the dev environment I have a step by step guide that you can use to get the environment set up. This will let you see the debug window and hopefully be able to give me a better idea whats going on. here is the link to the dev environment set up https://github.com/Rytiggy/Glance/blob/master/HowToInstall.md |
I’m not clear what needs to be entered to make this work with either xDrip+ or NightScout (which is the way I’m trying to use it). Might be worth adding this information into the readme.
