I tested SSSD with openldap-2.4.22-7.fc14.x86_64, which supports NSS. Tests were performed against slapd server running on localhost.
Certificate was in PEM format. Both .pem (key in the same file as certificate) and .crt/.key (key and certificate in separate files) were tested. I also tested both self-signed certificate and CA-signed certificate. After some research I found out, that openldap (more specifically libldap) doesn't support other format than PEM, so PKCS 12 and DER weren't tested.
Cloned from Pagure issue: https://pagure.io/SSSD/sssd/issue/596
The latest version of the OpenLDAP supports NSS. We need to make sure that the NSS enabled version is usable by SSSD.

Moving to NEEDS_TRIAGE. I'm not sure we want to wait until 1.5.0 to verify this.

All performed tests were successful.

Closing as "worksforme" since no code changes were required to handle this new libldap. QA should still add automated regression tests.
