If there is a group with two names (User_CS1_grp1 and User_CS1_grp1_Alias was example our QE was using) and a member user (User_CS1 and User_CS1_Alias) then the ghost users don't work properly.
This sequence:
getent group -s sss group User_CS1_grp1
getent passwd -s sss passwd User_CS1
Stores both user and group but doesn't create the member/memberof link between the two.
This turned out to be the same issue as #1714 which is already acked and triaged. It only showed in the proxy provider because the LDAP provider is more robust.

The same setup works fine if there are no aliases.
