Pressing the SMS button on my Android 2.3 phone gives an "Invalid recipient(s)" error message. Pressing ok on the error dialog gives a blank SMS message - the link is not included.

I couldn't reproduce this issue on a local HTC Desire HD with Android 2.3.
To fix this, as a workaround I added a fake recipient called "SENDTO" - since I can't test if this fixes the issue, can you please check and see if it helps at all? Thanks in advance.
(This is not an ideal solution because if the user forgets to edit the sender the phone will attempt to send to the address SENDTO)
Update: I reproduced the issue on Samsung Galaxy S. Tried the following recipients: "SENDTO", "000" "123456" without much success. I suspect that this particular sms app doesn't handle query parameters in the sms url.
Update: this is really an issue with the default SMS url handler app on a phone. Some SMS handler apps allow extended parameters but some simply don't support them. I don't think its possible to work around this?
