Sonoma Wi-Fi using BCM94360NG

Big thanks for the most recent build of the Z590i-Vision-D EFI, I have tried to build various EFIs for my machine and tried this and found it's much more robust than any of my previous efforts. Flawless on everything except Wi-Fi on Sonoma.

Issue:
No Wi-Fi (Somona) - is Wi-Fi still possible with the BCM94360NG, even though BT works fine.
It detects my iPhone but won't connect and doesn't see my Wi-Fi network at home.

I've read OCLP can patch and help this, when I run OCLP the available patch is:

• Networking: Modern Wireless
  But
• Cannot patch due to - SecureBootModel is enabled
  When I try to disable SecureBootModel I'm unable to boot the machine.

Question - What is the best process to get disable SecureBootModel and Wi-Fi working, what have I missed or is there another way?

My build:
• CPU: Intel i5-11500
• Board: Gigabyte Z590i Vision D:
◦ Audio: Realtek ALC4080
◦ 1x 2.5GBase-T (Intel I225-V)
◦ 1x USB-C
◦ 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports (Intel JHL8540 Maple Ridge)
◦ 2x m.2 Slots
• RAM: 32GB Corsair CMK32GX4M2E3200C16 running at 2133Mhz C16
• AMD Radeon RX 6600
• Wifi/BT: Broadcom BCM94360NG
• SSDs:
◦ 1x 1TB FireCuda - sata Ventura,
◦ 1 x 1TB Samsung 980 Pro for Windows 11 (sits in the m.2 above CPU)
◦ 1x 500GB Kingston SA2000M8500G Monterey (sits in the m.2 below CPU)
◦ 1 x 128GB Samsung 840 Pro - sata Sonoma

You need to disable Secure Boot in BIOS with config.plist SecureBootModel=Disabled and SignedDMG=Any.  Then you can install root patches and enable SecureBoot in BIOS and config again.

This worked perfectly, wifi returned flawlessly.
So then return the security back once BootPatching is performed, until next time?

I have almost exactly the same hardware configurations as yours. I followed every step in the upgrade process but the wifi was still not working. I just cannot enable the wifi. I have tried several times already but to no avail. Any suggestions or updates ?

I updated today to Sonoma and apparently running into wifi issues.

I have not replaced the wifi that comes with the motherboard, using Broadcom and using z590 atx.aml file

i have followed every step in the upgrade process but wifi wont turn on.

any help would be appreciated

After completing every step in the upgrade process, I am turning on FileVault and it is running into error message

the wifi issue is still a problem

Update: Read a few forums. Seems like the IOSkywalkFamily.kext requires an update for OCLP to work on Sonoma 14.4.*

I downloaded the latest kext IOSkywalkFamily.kext (https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/tree/main/payloads/Kexts/Wifi) to support Sonoma 14.4 and the Wifi issue is fixed.

Turning on FileVault is still an issue

Can you please give me as much information as possible about the USB-Ports?

Good start is, if you could open Hackintool and screenshot & extract me the USB ports after you hit the clean & refresh button.

I want to know, if the Wifi-adapter port is connected. It should be HS14. So if you don't see that, this is already the reason. But I guess its more the config.plist setup for Sonoma.

Then I possible, enter this command in terminal and send me the output as .txt:
log show --last boot | head -2000 > ~/Documents/bootlog.txt

With this I want to check, If my USB-SSDT is still loaded.

IOSkywalkFamily.kext

Just update IOSkywalkFamily.kext and follow your procedures. Wifi is back.
