Hello,

and first of all a biiiig thank you for sharing. I found the video, this page, a computer hardware store and now I am here :)

Everything works smoothly, no issues in the installation process. Since the mainboard is the same, my setup might significantly differ only in my cpu, which is a i7-10700k. As far as I understood, I needed to choose iMac20,1. I installed big sur 11.2.3.

The computer is connected by HDMI, but I am unable to get sound. I only use the iGPU.

I desperately tried

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/hdmi-audio-igpu-opencore-easy-solution.308459/

without success and found same problem on

SchmockLord/Hackintosh-Intel-i9-10900k-Gigabyte-Z490-Vision-D#92

but no solution.

But at least SchmockLord commented on 12 Nov 2020 success on the ASRock z490.

So I really appreciate help.

and please excuse my bad English, answers in German would fine as well :)

Good morning,

just tested the new release (2.9) and wanted to give a feedback concerning my issue: It still persists.

I accidentally figured out, that sound works, if more than one display are attached. I tried to describe my odyssey here:

https://www.hackintosh-forum.de/forum/thread/53412-kein-ton-über-hdmi-via-igpu-asrock-z490-pgitx-tb3-u-a/

The second, a second display is attached Hackintool shows a new sound device "Intel Kabylake HDMI" and sound output by both displays can be chosen (and working) - even if you unplug one - till next restart of the system.

In the meantime I could find more threads, even of people having different z490 boards.

https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/345756-no-hdmi-dp-audio-devices-on-uhd-630/

So dear @SchmockLord could you please try to crosscheck and boot your system with only one HDMI device and iGPU? I am afraid, most people don't get aware of this issues because of using a dGPU or multiple displays...

1st thing I noticed when I saw the config of the iGPU version is the boot-args.
Try to remove "agdpmod=pikera" from boot-args. As far as I know it is needed if you're using an AMD RX 5XXX series.
No need if you're using the iGPU:

boot-args
agdpmod=pikera shikigva=80

You find this info on the official OC guide
https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/config.plist/comet-lake.html#nvram
always Check 1st the official guide ;)

Hi @klougithub,

thanks for your feedback. Yes, I removed that first - even build a new EFI strictly following the dortania guide.
