[Dropdown] API not called with default values when clicking icon

Hello all!

I've got this issue where I'm using a multiple search select dropdown with default values. Everything works except the API is not called when clicking the dropdown icon (unless you've already clicked in the field)

Just click the dropdown icon first, and notice no network activity or dropdown action, then click inside the field and notice the network activity happens and "no results" pops up. After this, the dropdown icon works.
