Step One: Installation

While following this quick start guide please note that there are alternative ways to configure your setup which will be covered in those areas. This guide is meant to jump start commanders who are doing a normal "out of the box" install.

The First thing you'll want to do is decide between Voice Macro or Voice Attack. They both have similar functions and performance. The only major difference is that Voice Macro is free to use and Voice Attack is a paid program.

Voice Macro

1. Download the zip file from the Project A.L.I.C.E Discord. You should right click the zip file once downloaded and unblock it if required. Depending on your browser Windows will consider zip files a threat and flag them, which can cause problems. Extract the zip file somewhere easy to work with.

   

2. Double Click the application to start Voice Macro.

Voice Attack

NOTE: During Installation if you run in to an error try running Voice Attack as administrator. Depending on your version of Windows, and on your settings, Voice Attack might not have the permissions required to create new folders inside the "My Documents" folder. This is where all your user data, settings, and generated files are saved.

1. Download the zip file from the Project A.L.I.C.E Discord. You should right click the zip file once downloaded and unblock it if required. Depending on your browser Windows will consider zip files a threat and flag them, which can cause problems. Extract the zip file somewhere easy to work with.

   

2. Navigate to your Voice Attack Apps folder:

   (Steam Version) Right click “Voice Attack” in your installed games list on your Steam client. Select Properties, Select the Local Files tab, Select Browse Local Files…, Open the Apps Folder.

   (Standalone Version) Unless you’ve installed Voice Attack in a different location the default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\Apps

3. Copy the “Project A.L.I.C.E” folder in to the Voice Attack Apps folder:
   

4. Start Voice Attack, Select the "Profile Actions" Button and Import the A.L.I.C.E Profile.vap

5. Navigate to unziped files you downloaded and Import the provided Voice Attack Profile (.vap)

   You may get a confirmation window informing you that the profile executes applications. Project A.L.I.C.E has a Community Toolkit that allows you to manage your profile. This toolkit is standalone from Voice Attack and is opened when you start up Project A.L.I.C.E. Select Yes to continue with the Import.

   

6. Verify that Plugin Support has been Enabled and restart voice Attack.

Step Two: Keybind Configuration

1. Start Voice Macro or Voice Attack if it is not already started so that the Community Toolkit Opens. Select "Target Keybinds File".

2. When the File Explorer window the opens, select the file you want to load your keybind from when playing the game. This only has to be done once, or when you want to change your target binds file.
