[feature request] Exempt same-item columns from sorting

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I want to sort most items in my inventory, but then I have to put back my tools into their columns.

Describe the solution you'd like
An option to exempt items from sorting when their slot is part of a straight, unbroken same-item downward column to the hotbar. For tools, this shall ignore the material they're made of.
To remind me of potential oversights, exempted slots should be marked with a reddish tint until I interact with them or close inventory.
