Hello,
The frontmatter suggestor works for internal fields like BC-folder-name but it doesn't work for fields defined into the hierarchies like 'parent'.

It might be related to #286 but they don't seem to be the same problem.
Also the menu item mentioned in the ticket doesn't exist anymore.

Is there any way to activate the suggestion of hierarchy fields?

Added in the latest V4 beta release, available via BRAT.
All hierarchy fields are suggested in frontmatter properties now
