When importing a component from another file than an SKP, e.g. a DWG, the imported component gets associated with a temporary file, not the original DWG file. The SketchUp C importer interface first converts the non-skp fle to an skp file at a temporary location and then let SketchUp load that file. This technical implementation isn't relevant to the end user, while it would be useful to locate the original non-skp file again later.
I was thinking the path attribute of the ComponentDefiniton object could be overwritten with the non-skp source after import. Since this would be handled on the SketchUp side of the importer API, the same fix could be applied to all importers.
Personally I'd be quite happy if the Show-in-Folder feature of Eneroth reference Manager could locate the DWG file in this case, rather than an already purged temp file.
