So, we realised after having another dedicated tester next to us that people seem have different kinds of issues with the same model of laptop. @Bautheile has kernel panics during the installation of macOS, even after trying the new efi and we suggested that he'd try an older bios version, too bad his laptop is currently bricked after he tried to disable CSM.

And another user apparently has issues with sound

So we came to the idea to document all the issues you're having with your 8570W machine.

Let us know your issues and specs including the BIOS version on your laptops.

Downgrade capabilities

(The list has been made according to HP's website)

Users using F.66-F.71 can only downgrade back to F.66.
Users using F.65 can only downgrade back to F.65.
Users using F.64 can only downgrade back to F.64.
Users using F.63 can only downgrade back to F.63.
Users using F.60 or F.61 can only downgrade back to F.60.
Users using F.50 can only downgrade back to F.50.
Users using F.03-F.43 can only downgrade back to F.03 (F.31 is recommended).

How to downgrade

HP Guide

  1. Download the file by clicking the Download or Obtain Software button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).
  1. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

HP BIOS Downgrade

  1. Turn off the computer.
  2. Plug the notebook into power using the power adapter.
  3. Press and hold the Windows key and the B key down at the same time while the computer is off.
  4. Still pressing those keys press and hold down the Power button on the notebook for 3 seconds and then release the Power button and the keys.
The screen remains blank for about 40 seconds before anything appears on the display. You might also hear beeping sounds. Eventually, an HP BIOS Update screen displays.

NOTE: If the computer fails to display an HP BIOS Update screen, press and hold the Power button for 5 seconds to turn off the computer. Wait 5 seconds and try again. If, after repeated attempts, you cannot open the HP BIOS Update screen, your computer does not support this function or it has a hardware problem that is preventing the tool from opening.
