I'm trying soapui-swagger-plugin-2.5.3-dist.jar with SoapUI-5.3.0 64-bit on Win7 x64.
Whatever I had tried, I'm unable to make the plugin work. In particular, I don't get any "Import swagger" nor any other swagger options in the right-click menu on any project (as described here).

What I did:

  • I put the soapui-swagger-plugin-2.5.3-dist.jar into "<my_profile>.soapuios\plugins", but then I got "plugin is not loaded because it hasn't been signed by SmartBear Software". I solved it by installing soapui-pluginloader-jailbreak
  • But then I got "ERROR [errorlog] java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.eviware.soapui.plugins.auto.factories.AutoImportMethodFactory". I followed a suggestion in a discussion and placed the plugin to one of the "ext" directories. This error hasn't occurred again, but the plugin didn't work either.
  • Since then I was experimenting by trying to place the plugin in "\bin\ext", "\jre\lib\ext", or putting the path to the plugin into soapui classpath. Nothing worked.
  • I also tried to unpack the plugin .jar as sugested in the readme.txt placed in the META-INF directory in the plugin jar. I tried many variations, but none worked.
  • I also installed SoapUI-5.2.0 and SoapUI-5.2.0-win32, but neither worked.
  • I also built this plugin myself from the master branch, but neither this worked.

This issue may be related to #51, but that issue is not resolved and contains no suggestions that would work..

Can you please explain how to make this plugin work and what version of SoapUI it is compatible? Or please point me to a document where the installation procedure is described. Thank you.

+1. Specific installation instructions are missing.

I downloaded the "Linux tarball" from the soapui.org website's "latest release" section and had a try, but couldn't get it to work quickly and completely lost my motivation to try it further when I came across this issue.

In general, SoapUI and this plugin appear to be quite stale?
