The OSM Wiki notes that the wikibase:tabular service was disabled in November 2018. This service would be useful for several use cases:

  • Join OSM data with demographic or epidemiological data that comes in CSV format.
  • Enrich Overpass API results by joining them to the Wikidata Query Service or Wikimedia Commons tabular data.
  • Perform basic sorting and formatting on CSV-formatted Overpass API results, which currently requires postprocessing using command-line tools.

@nyurik mentioned there’s a PR somewhere to reenable CSV support, but my GitHub search-fu is failing me at the moment.

@nyurik btw, can remember why this was disabled? Ie. is it usable if I try just to proxy CSV files with it and not other data?
