As discussed, please revert last 2 commits to remove anti spamming fix when no OLED was connected, due to suspicion it may be connected to new issue of occasional no OLED display on otherwise working software at boot, necessitating a reboot by power cycling.

Removal of the anti spamming feature is on the understanding that no test / prototype hardware will be dispatched without a working SSD1306 based OLED display attached
