Looks like GitHub is introducing API versioning to their v3 API: To infinity and beyond: enabling the future of GitHub’s REST API with API versioning.

From my reading of the blog post, it looks like the suggested action at this point is to add the following header to GitHub v3 API requests:

X-GitHub-Api-Version: 2022-11-28
