After I activate Artemis on my German-Layout Masterkeys Pro S RGB, I have following issues:

  • Keyboard doesn't show any effects (stays dark)
  • Keyboard doesn't respont anymore until I switch Artemis off and replug my keyboard

The Log gives me following message:

Message:

Hey, could you give me the full logs?

  1. Under settings set keyboard to None
  2. Open up the settings menu and set the loggin level to debug.
  3. Under settings set keyboard to CM Masterkeys Pro S
  4. Head into Documents > Artemis > logs.
  5. Drag the log.txt file into the GitHub comment box, uploading it.
  6. Optionally set the logging back to Info to keep your log files small.

Sorry for the delay. I was away for the weekend. What you suggested didn't reproduce the bug, so I did this instead:

  1. set logging level to debug
  2. make sure keyboard is set to CM Masterkeys Pro S
  3. quit Artemis, replug Keyboard
  4. start Artemis
  5. try if anything works (changes in Artemis have no effect on keyboard)

This time however, Windows still accepted my inputs from the keyboard until I disabled Artemis (re-enabling did not bring back inputs). The visual effects I set on the keyboard itself are gone until replugging. FN + any lighting related Key won't do anything until I replug. It seems that Artemis overwrote the first lighting-profile (P1) I saved on my keyboard.

Thanks for the detailed report, I've found some mistakes in the Pro S code and corrected those. I'll include it in the next update to see if that resolves it :)

Sad to say this but nothing changed at all :/ I tried both updating and re-installing.
New Debug-Log: log.txt
Is it possible that I am screwing something up? I don't want to be wasting your time 😕

Current version is 1.8.1.0 right?

Looks like my firmware was out-of-date.

I am now on 2.2.1 and the problem is gone.
