A-B-C-D is a prototype for the most part. It was made 640x480 as a nod to my old skool gamer days where this was the norm for monitor/render dimensions. However, not everyone appreciates this and wants to use more real estate. :) We want to improve this so that it's a bit more modern and make use of the entire space allowed for the device.

I think you should forget about A, B, C, D parts. Think more in albums and tracks and the whole thing should be trated like a Single and an Album where you can define additional image arts on album level where you could set a banner image and a cover image. Maybe a tracklist can be displayed with all other artworks in the same album. There is no background needed (also background is not something you could design properly without creating more versions for all the media).

Page design should be like: banner on top with album art cover where cover is clickable, left: tracklist (selected artwork with bold), in the content the image itself with description and hidden surprise art as downloadable on the bottom.
