Abnormally large right margin

Look at the attached screenshot, take into account the line above the icon (the one that is highlighted on mouse over) and the difference between the left and right amount of space. Also compare with the symmetrical space occupied by the dropbox indicator. And in a third screenshot you can appreciate how displaced to the left the update indicator looks in comparison with the rest of the indicators.

Ok, I see, the problem is that the update count indicator is always using up space, even when there is no count to show (that is, most of the time). This should be more dynamically managed, if possible.
