Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Dialogue volume by default for most multichannel media is very low. Need a setting to improve this. Stereo downmix settings can help boost center channel volume which will improve dialogue volume.

Describe the solution you'd like
Implementation of any of the following features from the examples given below:

  1. Kodi has a setting in it's video player called 'Downmix: Center Mix level'; move slider to the right to improve dialogue (center channel volume)
  2. MPC-BE has a setting under Audio>Sound Processing; you tick 'Mix channels to' 'stereo' followed by increasing slider of 'Center Level'
  3. Nova Video player has 'Night mode' which normalizes volume across channels, this also improves dialogue volume but is not as granular as the above 2 options.
  4. MPV can do this as well as described in this link . Obviously a toggle will be preferable to writing code.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Currently playing video in any of the above players is the only option. But since that does not save play progress etc, it's not the ideal solution.

Something like this would be absolutely amazing so much so I would even pay a couple bucks for something like this.

A example of how I think this could work is let's say you have the volume at 65db you have a max of 75db and a low of 55 db if it goes below the low then it increases in volume and if it goes above the max it lowers the volume.

So it just dynamically adjust/normalize the volume so all scenes are of similar loudness.

100% agree with @mhmatthewhugley, the way he explained it. I too would even pay for this feature.

I would also love to see such a feature implemented.

I'm having huge problems with volume lately on Stremio. Most movies have low audio. I would love a feature to boost volume and dialogue.

stremio with multichannel downmix to stereo and audio boost will make stremio better than kodi.
