Roughly, group:

  • Short answer (likely fill in the blank or "slot in" but not always)
  • Long answer (likely to be "created" answers where user hadn't thought of the answer before seeing form, or has to draft it)
  • Choices (checkboxes) - hard to say if likely to be "created" or "slot in" answers

We should display statistics about the number of "difficult to answer" questions using this very rough heuristic from the style of input.

Note: once the field allows for a "long" answer, it probably doesn't matter how much room the field gives for how complex the answer is. A lot of court forms only allow a small amount of space for something that will take the litigant a lot of room to explain, just because they want to fit the form on one page. Except: a full page text field is probably expecting something like an affidavit.
