Device information

  • Tachidesk-JUI version: 1.3.2
  • Operating System: EndeavourOS (updated earlier today)
  • Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 5.27 (wayland)
  • Server Type: Internal
  • Client JVM version: Installed from AUR, system Java OpenJDK version 1.8.0_382
  • edit : had jre-openjdk (which is version 12) installed, 1.8 was just the default that showed with java -version. I also installed jre-openjdk17 which did fix other issues, but not the scaling issue.
  • Server JVM version: Same as client

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable Wayland
  2. Launch Tachidesk-JUI (note it's size)
  3. Go into System Settings and choose a scale-factor
  4. Enable "Legacy Applications (X11): Apply scaling themselves"
  5. Open Tachidesk-JUI (note it's size)

Expected behavior

The application would launch scaled in accordance with the set scale factor.

Actual behavior

The application does not scale at all if set to "Apply scaling themselves" and will scale (albiet blurrily) with "Scaled by the system". (unfortunately this option isn't usable for me because my browser doesn't stop self-scaling, meaning if I use "Scaled by the system" 30% of my browser window is just the tab-bar at the top because it's scaled by ~double what it should be)

Other details

60 hz display, issue present from install.
