When using Syncplay with IINA, the player does not load subtitles automatically. But IINA loads well on its own.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Prepare a video file and a subtitle file with the same name
  2. Open Syncplay and play the video
  3. IINA does not load the subtitles

Expected behavior
IINA loads subtitles automatically.

  • Syncplay version and build type: Syncplay 1.7.0
  • Media player and version: IINA 1.3.2

I do not know whether or not there is anything that can be done within Syncplay code to make IINA load subtitles automatically. You could try asking the IINA developers for advice.

Is the issue resolved if you set --sub-file-paths to the directory where you have your files in line with https://mpv.io/manual/stable/#options-sub-file-paths ?
