I'm glad about being now a DS412+ owner. Before the DS412+ I had a Thecus N5550. Because of that fact that the cooling unit of the Thecus is too loud for a living room environment, I had to sent it back.
The platform of the Thecus is an Intel Atom 2550, 2GB RAM, and so on. So I took a look for NAS devices which doesn't differ as much as the Thecus. I found the DS412+, which has the same CPU architecture. I read that I'm able to change the SO-DIMM on the Synology. So I ordered also a 4GB DIMM.
I installed everything and have added SabNZBd from your repository.
And all I can say is that, that I'm frustrated. I can't believe and also not explain by myself what is happening there.
Unrar needs for a 5GB password encrypted archive about 20 minutes for unpack.
The Thecus N5550 with the SabNZBd package (0.7.16) needs max. 6 minutes for a 15GB password encrypted archive.
I tried everything until now. I changed from the 4GB DIMM to the 1GB default RAM back, because I read that some people were complaining about bad performance with a RAM upgrade. But this action had no effect on this process. So I'm now again on 4GB RAM.
I cloned this github repository and started to build your packages by myself because I was thinking that the packages in your repo are not optimized for the cedarview architecture. No positive effect too.
I read about some unrar problems regarding the version no. 5. So I deleted the unrar in the SabNZBd binary folder and made a symbolic link to /usr/syno/bin/unrar . Also no difference. Same problem.
At the end I edited the package files in your repo to build the latest beta sources (0.7.17 Beta3). I installed the package and also no difference.
Now I don't know anymore what I can do else.
Why the Thecus (slower CPU) handles archives a lot of faster than the DS412+? I don't unterstand it.

Well, if the unrar from Synology has the same issue this is not a problem specific to SynoCommunity, I suggest you contact Synology directly about this issue.
Let us know their feedback.
