Hi, I'm trying to play Playstation 1 games with Bizhawk but for some reason I can't get them to work. I've removed the .cue file for the game and tried to load the ROM, but I always get an error message. I get a load error that says

A core accepted the rom, but threw an exception while loading it: System.InvalidOperationException:
Can't load CD files from archives! at BizHawk.Client.Common.RomLoader.LoadRom(String path, CoreComm nextComm, String launchlibretroCore, Int32recursiveCount)

I don't know what this means or what to do. I really need your help. I've been trying for two months and nothing has worked. I will forever be grateful for a response.

Did you unzip the game?

Which game, and what format is it in? For .bin+.cue, deleting the .cue doesn't really do anything. Either edit the .cue to fix the file paths, or use DiscoHawk to convert it to .ccd.

Are you using 2.6.1? 2.6 had a bug which caused some non-archive files to be treated as archives, see #2587.

The cue is partnered with the bin file, you shouldn't remove their connection.

Can you please go into detail on how you managed to do this and also what game.

(Having the game zipped/7zipped didn't bring the exception that the user was saying instead it'll just "boot" into a black screen and hang there.)

I changed the .cue to .ccd and played that. It now works. It lagged a bit the first time but eventually stopped. Thanks for the help. I truly mean it. Also, I'm sorry for bothering you, guys. I'm also sorry for not quickly responding as I had to go to bed.
