@Tarang it would be awesome if you could open-source the server-side and dashboard. Ref: http://crater.io/posts/dYm68KSQS9HqznjNg/comment/HiymCDfQzFR6pYzgA |
Oh dear not again. Once in a while we have these huge users who use up all the server's resources and cause it to crash. @lorensr I've considered this i've added a couple of things to let it be possible. I've been going for a very simple setup. The server dash & mongodb setup kind of ruins the whole ease of setting it up. If i can make this part easier I would certainly OS it. I'm also a bit stuck with contributors I've tried to get people to help with the project If I do OS it but whenever I have a conversation about it with someone it sort of dies out in a week or two. Would be helpful if I can get someone to help with this! |
One way to do it is the way houston (https://github.com/gterrono/houston) does it. I don't like it integrated that way because it adds to your app client's download size. You could keep simple setup an option, and allow people who install
And then they tell their app to send data to Looks like there are a couple people seriously interested in working on this on the crater.io link, including the OP, who made Telescope. |
@Tarang I planned to use tail for activity tracking but just noticed its down. To bad you haven't found people to contribute. I don't know if you have help now but I will like contribute. I think its a great package and I will very much like to support it. |
