Requesting to add a mob: "Elektrilyke" #39
Comments
Seems like an interesting idea, good art and easily implementable with our current |
Thanks, all though the concept art is pure creepy-pasta shit with spaghetti sauce spilled on "Elektrilyke's" face 👎 . I don't think "Elektrilyke" will sound so good; mainly because it's sounds pretty stupid and it's not always easy to spell/type. Also, I've sketched out the "Tamer Rod." I suggest it should look like some sort of rod you would use in a futuristic laser-cannon. Or just the rods you see in electrical towers. Here's the sketch: Let's also discuss the 'Taming Rod's" name. That's all I have for now, I guess we'll discuss this on IRC? |
I also happen to notice that my sketch looks like a Jesus cross. Coincidence? /o\ loomynarty confirmed. Also: I want to be able to run zordzman!!! I still can't run it properly 👎 |
Whoops, accidential assignment spam. |
Electrike maybe? Zordzman works with Combat & Special weapons. I imagine Taming Rod would be some kind of item found in the level? |
I think the Taming Rod should be dropped very rarely by a mob, like the Eyenado. |
Locking just to signify that this is currently "dormant" |

Yes, the name can be changed into something else, but it's just the concept name. It could be a mob that can be "tamed." You tame it by using another concept idea called the "Taming Rod" (yes, the name will be discussed for this one too). It can do some noticable damage to the player if it is aggresive, and if you tame it, it will basically be your "German Sheperd", except, it's a little bit more pure "living" energy.
I'm not completely sure how you will acquire the "Taming Rod", but it can be discussed here. Allthough a suggestion would be that it can be dropped randomly by Eyenado, but just rarely, so the player can engage on trying to get the "Taming Rod" by attempting to challenge more Eyenados. This way, the player will probably spend more time playing the game, because it is a quest to tame the mighty "Elektrilyke." (Sort of how some games require you to pay for in-game money so you can easily level up some crap, except, without money)
Here is the concept image of" Elektrilyke":
It's a little creepy, but with pixel-art, I'm pretty sure the creepiness will reduce drastically
As I'm typing this, I currently do not have the concept image of the "Taming Rod" as of yet. But I'm planning to sketch it out if this proposal is accepted.
