No 4320p (8k) quality option, the best one that shows up is 2160p.

This requires two steps:

  1. Find the corresponding ITag and add it here to the extractor

  2. Add support in the frontend and make sure to declare it as high resolution.

It's the commented 272 itag, it's already defined as 2160p. If I play the 2160p option is it actually going to play the 4320p video?

"itag":"272",
"aitags":"133,134,135,136,137,160,242,243,244,247,248,271,272,278,313",

I also get a playback error if I play the 2160p version.

restore after player error

I will try to answer if you create a new thread/issue, your question has nothing to do with "no 8k support" @zeargames

Is there even any phone with 8K resolution?

@opusforlife2 That's irrelevant. This is a NewPipeExtractor issue and should be fixed (but not by simply adding this resolution to our list, but the proper way of automatically parsing what resolution, etc an itag is). NewPipeExtractor is meant to be used anywhere that could run Java code, not just NewPipe on a smartphone. Plus it wouldn't surprise me if we see 8K Android TVs soon-ish.

Ah. I forgot about TVs. There are already 8K Android TVs, I think.
