Summary

We start to add an attribute 'barrier:keypad=yes' to gates which are accessible with codes. For example, to the gated residential communities with entrance for visitors. As evidence, we use Lyft internal sources to flag such gates based on the messages with “gate code” words. According to the telemetry, we know a gate that a driver went through after communication with the rider about the gate code

Quality Control

To keep the quality of our map edits at a high level of accuracy, we apply a quality control (QC) process on 100% of tasks. Each task will be QCed before being published to OSM. Our QCers are checking the logic of adding or modifying tags. If the curator accidentally removed or added wrong tags, the task will be returned to the curator to correct it based on the QCer’s comment.

Ground Truth Resources*

  • Street-level imagery (Mapillary, Bing)
  • Proprietary sources of aerial and street level imagery

OSM changesets will be submitted abiding by the OSM Changeset Guidelines.
*Additional resources used in curating and QCing this project can be found in our Resources Wiki.
