Cannot run mods on linux

The mods can be installed and selected without any problems but once the world is loaded nothing is usable. The units can be selected but not usable other than from the keyboard. None of the UI is usable.

I know this is a problem with linux and that other people have had this issue.

Trying to play around with the classic branch as suggested but so far nothing. Will update the progress I have and try to make a solution that can be merged with the main branch.
